I’m so excited to announce that Mini Sessions 2026 are officially open for booking! These short & sweet sessions are the perfect way to update your family photos, capture your growing bump, celebrate milestones, or simply freeze time for a little while.

Mini Sessions are quick, fun, and stress-free. Just enough time to create beautiful, natural images without the commitment of a full session. They’re designed for busy families who still want gorgeous professional photos and an unforgettable experience.

During the 2026 fall – winter, I’ll offer minis in different locations in October, November and December.

Start by reaching out through my contact form and sharing a few details about the session you’re dreaming of. I’ll personally respond with availability, pricing information, and everything you need to get started.

Once we chat about your vision, you’ll select your session date. I’ll guide you through timing, light, and planning so everything feels easy and stress-free.

To officially reserve your spot, you’ll sign your contract and submit your retainer. After that, your date is secured, and the fun begins: choosing location, outfit planning, client closet access, and full guidance every step of the way.

The Process

01 – INQUIRY ABOUT YOUR SESSION
Fill out the Contact Form. Be sure to let me know what type of session you are looking for, and we can talk about your vision. If my style is what you are looking for, we can choose a date and time, sign the contract and book your session!

02. PICK A LOCATION
We can talk about locations and I have prepared a Location Guide document with some information about each spot. If you are looking for something different I’m always open to take a new adventure!

03. OUTFITS
With your location in mind, we can start to build your outfits!! Don’t stress! I have some tricks to make this very easy. Use the Style Tool and My Client Closet to create your outfits and send it to me to get feedback. You can contact me any time for questions.

04. PREPARE
With your location selected and your outfits ready, you can prepare your family for the big day. Talk with your partner about what you expect and why this is important to you. Talk with your kids “hey, kiddos, my friend Aby is going to take some fun photos of us”. Ask me any question that can pop into your mind!

05. THE SESSION DAY
On your session day, just relax and enjoy! Let your kids be kids, don’t chase them with perfect smiles to the camera. Cuddle, play, explore and let it go! A little bit of chaos will pop up the real you!

06. YOUR PHOTOS
When your photos are ready, you will get an email with the link to your online gallery. It will be filled with love and silly moments. You can order extra images, prints, albums, wall collages, and more!

This is the number one concern, and the honest answer? They don’t have to “behave.” My sessions are candid and movement-based. Kids can run, explore, laugh loudly, and even get a little messy. I gently guide without forcing smiles. The magic happens in the in-between moments.

Start by filling out the contact form. Once we confirm availability, you’ll choose your date, sign your contract, and submit your retainer to officially reserve your session. After that, I guide you through every step.

My San Jose family photography sessions are held in carefully selected outdoor locations with beautiful natural light. After booking, you’ll receive my Location Guide featuring golden fields, redwood trails, garden settings, and other scenic Bay Area spots. I help you choose the location that fits your family’s style best.

Your gallery will be delivered within the timeframe outlined in your contract (typically within a few weeks). You’ll receive a beautiful online gallery where you can download, share, and print your images.

That’s completely normal, most families say this at first. I give gentle prompts instead of stiff poses, so you’re interacting naturally instead of wondering what to do with your hands. By the end, it feels more like spending time together than “taking photos.”
